Online Poker Site Signs Porn Star

In what could be politely called an unexpected move, UB.com has signed adult film actress Samantha Ryan as their newest sponsored pro. Ryan, with over 165 movie roles to her credit, has starred in such films as “War of the Girls”, “Girls Kissing Girls”, and “All by Myself.” She will be on a limited sponsorship and is expected to make her first manifestation for the online poker room at Event 11 of the current World Series of Poker.

Even though Ryan’s selection will be questioned by many due to her day job, others are pointing out her virtual lack of experience as a poker player. She has no cashes in tournament poker, and she has only a moment ago been playing in charity events such as Annie Duke’s recent After School All Stars at the Commerce Casino in Los Angeles.

Ryan was spotted at the 2008 WSOP with poker professional Maria Ho as they cheered for pro Tiffany Michelle throughout her 17th place finish in the $10,000 Main Event. She is good friends with both players, and frequently exchanges Twitter messages with them.

Ryan announced her deal via a Twitter message on May 28th when she stated, “So it’s official! I WILL be playing in 5-6 WSOP Events sponsored by [Ultimate Bet]! A million thanks [Annie Duke]! C my fans there!”
